Si Manny Pacquiao ay isang propesyonal na Filipinong boksingero at pulitiko. Pandaigdigang kampiyon siya ng walong dibisyon sa boksing (eight-division world champion), ang unang buksingero sa kasaysayan na nanalo ng sampung pandaigdigang titulo (10 world titles), at ang unang nanalo sa walang dibisyon ng timbang (weight divisions). Binansagan siyang “Fighter of the Decade” ('Manlalaban ng Dekada') para sa 2000's ng Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA). Tatlong beses din niyang nakamit ang titulong “Fighter of the Year” ('Manlalaban ng Taon') mula sa magasing The Ring at BWAA sa taong 2006, 2008, at 2009.

Sa ngayon, si Pacquiao ang WBC Super Welterweight World Champion at WBO Welterweight World Champion (Super Champion). Siya rin ang itinuturing na numero unong pound-for-pound best boxer sa daigdig, ayon sa karamihan ng mga websayt na patungkol sa isports at boksing tulad ng The Ring, BoxRec.com, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, NBC Sports, Yahoo! Si Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao o mas kilala bilang Manny Pacquiao ay ipinanganak noong Disyembre 17, 1978 sa Kibawe, Bukidnon, Mindanao.

Bago naging kilala si Pacquiao bilang isang milyonaryo at sikat na boksingero ngayon, lumaki siya sa pangangalaga ng kanyang inang si Dionisia Pacquiao, mas kilala sa tawag na "Nanay Dionisia", mula nang iwan sila ng kanyang ama. Dulot ng kahirapan, kahirapan,naranasan niyang maglako ng "pandesal" sa umaga upang may makain ang kanyang pamilya. Naranasan din niyang maglako ng mga sigarilyo at kendi sa daan upang magkapera. Bata pa lamang si Pacquiao ay iniwan na siya, kasama ng lima niyang kapatid at ina, ng kanyang ama. Ang tanging hangad lamang ni Pacquiao noon ay maging isang pari. Ngunit dahil sa kapos sa pera ang kanyang ina upang mapag-aral siya ay naisip niyang boksing ang pinakamadaling paraan upang maipagmalaki niya ang kanyang sarili sa kanyang pamilya. Ikinasal siya kay Maria Geraldine “Jinky” Pacquiao at biniyayaan sila ng apat na anak - sina Emmanuel Jr. “Jimuel”, Michael, Princess, at Queen Elizabeth “Queenie”. Nagsimula ang karera ni Pacquiao bilang isang propesyonal na boksingero noong 1995,sa timbang na 106 lbs at sa edad na 16. Sunod-sunod ang mga naging panalo ni Manny sa mga laban hanggang sa makamit niya ang kanyang pang-apat na sinturon bilang World Boxing Championsa kanyang huling laro ay laban kay Ricky Hatton, isang boksingerong briton, noong Mayo 2, 2009 na ginanap sa MGM Grand Las Vegas sa Las Vegas, Nevada. World title fight para sa welterweight division ang labang ito at nasa 147 libra (pounds) ang limitasyon ng timbang. Ika-13 ng Marso 2010, noong talunin ni Pacquiao si Joshua Clottey sa Cowboys Stadium, Arlington, Texas. Nagkakaisa ang mga hurado sa pasyang panatilihin kay Pacquiao ang kanyang sinturon sa WBO Welterweight World Title. Sa labang ito, nagpakawala ang Pambansang Kamao ng 1231 na suntok ngunit 246 lamang sa mga ito ang tumama dahil nasalag ng matibay na depensa ni Clottey ang karamihan. Sa kabilang dako, sa 399 na suntok na itinapon ni Clottey ay 108 lamang ang tumama.

Noong ika-13 ng Nobyembre 2010, nasungkit ni Pacquaio laban kay Antonio Margarito ang WBC Super Welterweight World Title na siyang ika-8 weight class world title niya.

Muli siyang nagtagumpay sa isang sagupaan laban kay Sugar Shane Mosley noong ika-7 ng Mayo 2011 sa MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, USA. Dahil dito, nasa kanya pa rin ang WBO welterweight title.
